From minimizing fuel consumption, to Polar Latitude’s innovative Citizen Science program, to the tiniest details, like packing sustainably, we’re committed to preserving the last wild place on Earth, and inspiring others to also.

You’ll arrive two days before we set off with plenty of time to unwind, account for flight delays, and enjoy the beautiful Arakur Resort & Spa, explore the southernmost city in the world, Ushuaia. On day 3, Our Expedition Team and ship staff will greet you on board, followed by a safety and orientation briefing, and Captain’s Welcome Dinner.

As we cross the (in)famous Drake Passage, our team of onboard Polar Experts will teach you about everything Antarctic, from wildlife to history! You’ll also have the chance to participate in our renowned Citizen Science program or sit back and watch the seabirds that follow the ship as we cross the Antarctic Convergence into Antarctic waters and noticeably cooler temperatures.

The volcanic South Shetland Islands are our first stop and offer amazing abundance and beauty. We’ll hop into our inflatable Zodiac boats and spend as much time as possible exploring, so be prepared to marvel up close at nature’s glory!

On the Antarctic peninsula, we’ll chart our own course and explore picturesque bays and famed harbors as we maneuver through majestic channels and wildlife-rich waters. There are magnificent opportunities to stop at active scientific bases and historic landing sites, and, of course, lots of chances to see various species of penguins, seals, and whales along the rugged coastlines and in the sea.

We will make our way north as we leave this magical place, once again crossing the legendary Drake Passage. We’ll have one last hurrah as we celebrate the extraordinary adventure we all shared with a special slideshow and a final meal together. With huge smiles on weary, content faces, we’ll disembark in the morning, letting you catch a flight to Buenos Aires or stay in Ushuaia for more adventure!
